The Deep Blue Hot Springs Sanctuary - it’s a must!

One of the places I highly recommend to all guests visiting Warrnambool is to book a session at The Deep Blue Hot Springs Sanctuary.

It was the perfect night for the twilight session.

I have visited many times, with family and friends and am always impressed with how relaxed I become and how good I feel afterward. And one of the best parts, they are situated only 3min from our door!

The Nourish Dome.

There are four sessions to choose from, early riser, morning, afternoon, and twilight. The Twilight session is for ages 16 and up only, children aged 5+ are welcome at all other session.

I have only been to the daytime session twice and the twilight the most. I loved bathing when the sun is going down or in the darkness.

The best thing about the sanctuary is it really matter what the weather is, and sometimes winter is even a better time to visit, the chilly air is a nice contrast to the warm inviting open-air rock pools, sensory caves and cleansing waterfalls. Then you can head back to Warrnambool Retreat, light the fire, pour a wine and continue to relax and unwind.

Beautiful gardens add to the overall scent and experience.

The sanctuary harnesses the natural geothermal waters below, creating an enhanced geothermal bathing experience.

And I think you can feel that the minute the water touches your skin.

A little bit about the waters:

‘The ritual of bathing in Hot Springs is deeply embedded into ancient cultures for physical and emotional benefits. The mineral-rich water is sourced from deep within the earth at various depths around the world. The geothermal water at the Deep Blue Warrnambool is gathered from a depth of 850 meters below the ground, with a unique mineral composition to support a range of physical and emotional health benefits. The heat is naturally occurring and is the result of the earth’s core temperature and arrives to the surface at temperatures ranging from 35 - 42 degrees.’

Also inside the sanctuary is their Nourish Dome, full of healthy snacks and juices, robe up and take a break before heading back out to enjoy the baths once more. Or there is also the Deep Blue Restaurant and bar if you are after something a little more substantial before or after your soak.

You can also book a session in the Deep Blue Salt Room for some salt therapy - known to help improve any respiratory issues… and let’s be honest - who hasn’t got a long-term Rona cough we’d like to shake off!

Add a visit to The Deep Blue Hot Springs Warrnambool will complement your stay at Warrnambool Retreat perfectly.
