1 The Highlands Taphouse

Our first pick was recently nominated as a finalist in the 2023 Southern Highlands Local Business Awards. The Highlands Taphouse is a family-run restaurant with a diverse menu and a great selection of local and imported Australian brews. This Moss Vale pub prioritizes good food, good beer, and great memories for all patrons. Just five minutes walking down the road to Moss Manor, you can sample their inclusive menu full of gluten-free and vegan options. 

2 Sutton Forest Inn

You’ll hear locals refer to this Moss Vale pub as The Sutto, and we encourage you to check out this hidden gem. Serving patrons since 1936, they offer a large indoor dining room with  a wonderful fireplace, a gorgeous verandah and a lush outdoor beer garden facing north up the rolling green hills of Sutton Forest, all whilst catching  the sun and enjoying a selection of wines. Be aware the kitchen service is from 12-230 and reopens at 5 pm. You’ll enjoy a relaxing drive under ten minutes getting door to door from the Sutton Forest Inn and back home to rest at Moss Manor. 

3 The Argyle Hotel

Before this Moss Vale pub became a watering hole serving the self-proclaimed, best beer in the district, it had a long historical connection to Moss Vale. Originally constructed in 1868, it served as a post office and general store until transformed into a hotel in 1873. The Argyle Hotel has a $12 lunch special Monday to Friday and has Bistro hours from Monday to Saturday 11.30 am -3 pm, reopening for dinner service 5 pm – 9 pm. Sunday hours are 11.30 am - 8 pm. 

4 Wine Mosaic Lounge

Australia is known for many things, and having an internationally recognized one is high on the list. We proudly recommend ending your day with a glass, or two, at the Wine Mosaic Lounge. With 60s-inspired decor and casual or formal dining, it has a spot and a glass for anyone.
